Visiting Victims Of Deadly Bus Accidents Cipularang Toll Pilgrims, Jasa Raharja Boss: One Still In ICU

PURWAKARTA - President Director of PT Jasa Raharja Rivan A. Purwantono visited Radjak Purwakarta Hospital, West Java to see victims of the tourism bus accident carrying pilgrims from Tangerang, on the Cipularang Km 80 Toll Road.

Furthermore, Rivan said that one victim of the bus accident was still being treated in the ICU.

"There is one person in the ICU who is still being treated," he said at Radjak Hospital, Purwakarta, West Java, Friday, December 27.

Rivan said the victim would then be transferred to the nearest hospital from the area of origin. Remembering that they were from Tangerang, Banten, the victims would be looking for a hospital in the area.

"Because this is the journey of a group of people from Tangerang, which allows us to move them to the nearest referral hospital. However, the most important thing is that the health condition is stable first," he said.

Previously reported, President Director of PT Jasa Raharja Rivan A. Purwantono confirmed that the victims of a tourism bus accident carrying pilgrims from Tangerang, on the Cipularang Km 80 Toll Road, Purwakarta Regency, West Java, had received compensation from Jasa Raharja.

The tourism bus carried 64 pilgrims. As a result of the accident two people died, 12 were seriously injured and the remaining 50 people suffered minor injuries. The victims were rushed to the Abdul Radjak hospital (RS), Purwakarta.

"Yes, in principle, all accidents that occur have received guarantees. So the two who died were injured, maybe today together with the Deputy Minister (BUMN) Dony Oskaria visited the hospital," he said when met at KM 29 Cikampek Toll Road, West Java, Friday, December 27.

Furthermore, Rivan said the fatalities in the accident received compensation of Rp. 50 million per person. Meanwhile, the injured victims get compensation of Rp. 20 million.

"Compensation for victims who died (each) was Rp. 50 million for two world victims in Tangerang. And for injuries Rp. 20 million," he said.

For your information, there were two accidents on the Cipularang Toll Road on Thursday morning, December 26, 2024. The first incident occurred at KM 80 + 000 towards Jakarta at 01.35 WIB involving one bus transport and one dump truck. Two victims died in an accident at this location.

The second incident occurred at KM 92 + 400 towards Jakarta at 02.50 WIB involving a transport bus vehicle and an unidentified vehicle because it was not at the scene. There was one victim injured in this location accident.

Senior Manager Representative Office 3 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Agni Mayvinna said based on information from officers in the field, it was suspected that the bus driver was sleepy so that he did not anticipate the vehicle in front of him and caused a rear impact.

"The victim was injured and died and was evacuated to Abdul Radjak Purwakarta Hospital," he said in an official statement.

All vehicles and passengers have been evacuated and traffic can return to normal. The second incident has been evacuated at 04.10 WIB, while the first incident was at 05.10 WIB. Jasa Marga submitted a follow-up to the two accidents to the Police.
