Black Cat Arrested Drug Owners In Aceh, Didn't Move To Throw Out Cigarettes Filled With Shabu

JAKARTA - The Black Cat Team of the Simeulue Police Narcotics Satres, Aceh arrested the owner of methamphetamine. The young man with the initials MR (21) was arrested while at the mooring of a fishing boat in Amaiteng Mulia Village, East Simeulue.

Head of Drugs at the Simeulue Police, Iptu JH Sialagan, said that MR was arrested on Saturday, June 5. This arrest was based on reports from residents about drug use.

"Residents are worried about the suspect's activities and immediately reported it to the personnel of the Black Cat team," said Sialagan, quoted from the Police Public Relations statement, Thursday, June 10.

From residents' reports, the Black Cat team conducted an investigation. The suspect MR was known to be at the village mooring location until he was finally arrested.

“When we searched it, suspect MR had thrown away a cigarette packet containing methamphetamine. The team immediately arrested the suspect MR, then immediately secured him to the Simeulue Police Headquarters," said Silagan.

According to MR, the methamphetamine was obtained from JND alias Black, who is now being sought by the police.

Meanwhile, the suspect was detained at the Simeulue Police Headquarters along with evidence weighing 1.10 grams of crystal methamphetamine. A cell phone was also confiscated in connection with the methamphetamine transaction.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 112 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 114 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2009 with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
