JAKARTA - The University of Indonesia (UI) has maintained its position as the number one university in Indonesia in the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) 2027 which is in the top 200 in the world.

UI Rector Heri Hermansyah emphasized that the success of maintaining a position in the top 200 in the world is a capital that must continue to be driven, not a point to be complacent.

UI managed to maintain its position in the world's top 200 by ranking 191st, and also became the only university in Indonesia that consistently broke into the world's Top 200.

Heri said that surviving in the top 200 in the world in the midst of increasingly tight global competition was an achievement to be grateful for.

However, this is not the ultimate goal because UI must work harder, faster, and smarter to increase its contribution at the international level.

"This achievement is the result of the collective work of all academic staff, alumni, and partners. With the same spirit, we will continue to move forward," said Heri, quoted by Antara.

On a regional scale, UI is in the Top 8 of Southeast Asia and the Top 50 of Asia. UI's performance is supported by a number of key indicators, namely Employer Reputation (87.4), Employment Outcomes (81.0), and International Faculty Ratio (88.4).

This achievement is considered to reflect the high confidence of the world of work in UI graduates, the success of alumni in pursuing careers, and the strength of the international academic network owned by the university.

Armed with this foundation, UI is increasingly optimistic about continuing its transformation as a world-class research university that makes a real contribution to the development of science, innovation, and the progress of the nation.
