Yamaha Mio Belonging to RM Nasi Padang Employee Stolen by Buyer

JAKARTA - A gang of motorcycle thieves managed to steal a vehicle belonging to a restaurant worker (RM) of Padang rice on Jalan Cilincing Baru, RT 10/RW 07, Cilincing, North Jakarta.

After conducting an investigation, the Cilincing Police identified the perpetrators as three people. Currently, the three of them are still being hunted by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilincing Police.

"After receiving a report from the victim, that night we immediately checked the crime scene. Currently, we are still looking for the perpetrators," said Cilincing Police Chief AKP Bobi Subasri when confirmed, Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

As a result of the theft, the victim with the initials NH (22) suffered a loss of more than IDR 5 million.

"The victim reported that he had lost a green Yamaha Mio motorcycle," he said.

Furthermore, the police chief explained that the incident occurred while the victim was working as a waiter at a Padang restaurant.

According to him, the group of perpetrators came to the restaurant by pretending to be a buyer.

"One of the alleged perpetrators came to the warung and pretended to buy Padang rice to distract attention," he said.

Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators were waiting in the front area near the victim's motorcycle parking area.

"The two perpetrators who were in front took advantage of the situation to dismantle the vehicle's key. After the perpetrator who pretended to buy finished carrying out the action, the victim's motorcycle was immediately taken away," he said.

When he realized that his motorcycle was missing, the victim then reported the incident to the Cilincing Police for follow-up.
