The Budget For Handling COVID-19 In Kudus Is IDR 67.03 Billion Mil

JAKARTA - The government of Kudus Regency, Central Java, has prepared a budget for the handling of a new type of COVID-19 that is sourced from the refocusing of the local APBD amounting to Rp. 67.03 billion.

"In addition to the available budget from the refocusing, Kudus Regency also received assistance from the BNPB in the amount of Rp. 1 billion. However, its use must be properly regulated because we do not know how long this pandemic will end," said Kudus Regent Hartopo in Kudus, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 9th.

Although the available budget for handling COVID-19 is quite large, he said, because since the beginning of the year it has been used for various activities, of course there is not much left so that the budget supply is also starting to run out.

The existence of central assistance for the isolation of its citizens in the Haji Donohudan Dormitory, he said, was very helpful because the facilities and infrastructure in the isolation area provided by the Kudus Regency Government were also limited so they had to budget again.

Another limitation is the availability of human resources (HR), including the provision of vitamins for the isolation participants and the capacity of the isolation place is also limited because there are around 400 people, while in the Hajj dormitory it can reach 700 people, so there must be concentration outside the area.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Kudus Regency Eko Djumartono revealed that the funds from the previous refocusing reached Rp. 91 billion, but only Rp. 67.03 billion could be utilized because there was a cut in the general allocation fund (DAU) from the central government.

The available budget is used for handling COVID-19, vaccination support, support for urban villages in the context of synergy with the Police and the TNI of Rp. 1.8 billion, incentives for health workers of Rp. 33.74 billion, vaccination support of Rp. 16.3 billion, and the management of health services for the affected population amounted to Rp. 15.1 billion, sourced from the DAU and DID.

Of the budget of Rp. 15.1 billion to support activities at the Kudus Satpol PP, Health Service, Transportation Service, BPBD, Trade Service, PKPLH, and Loekmono Hadi Kudus Hospital.
