JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has arrived in Miangas, Talaud Islands in North Sulawesi to visit the people on the northernmost island in Indonesia and bordering the Philippines.

Citing Antara, the President arrived in Miangas at around 09.45 WIB after attending the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, Philippines.

In Miangas, President Prabowo is scheduled to meet with the community and review the health center on one of the outermost islands in the archipelago.

Upon arrival in Miangas, the President was greeted by the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, the Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid, Deputy Commander of the TNI General Tandyo Budi Revita, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force (KSAU) Marshal TNI Mohamad Tonny Harjono and a number of other officials.

The President was also accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

The President was seen talking and taking photos with a number of airport officers before finally boarding the Pindad Maung vehicle.
