Jakarta Weather Today Dominated by Cloudy, Light Rain in the Afternoon and Evening

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that some areas of Jakarta will be hit by light rain on Tuesday, April 21 afternoon and evening.

BMKG through its social media page @infobmkg quoted Antara as saying that South Jakarta was thick fog this morning, then it was light rain in the afternoon and evening.

East Jakarta was cloudy in the morning, then began to be hit by light rain in the afternoon and evening.

West Jakarta and Central Jakarta were thick clouds until the afternoon, then began to be hit by light rain at night.

North Jakarta is predicted to be cloudy this morning, then cloudy in the afternoon, and start to be showered with light rain in the afternoon to evening.

Meanwhile, the Thousand Islands are predicted to be thick clouds throughout the day.

Meanwhile, the average temperature of the capital today ranges from 26-27 degrees Celsius.

BMKG warns residents that there is a potential for moderate to heavy rain today until April 23, 2026 in the capital, especially the West Jakarta, East Jakarta, and South Jakarta areas.

Residents are urged to be aware of the potential for trees or branches to fall, billboards to collapse, puddles, and lightning strikes by avoiding shelter under trees, billboards, or fragile buildings, and limiting activities in open spaces during heavy rain and lightning.
