TANJUNG SELOR - North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Governor Zainal A. Paliwang closed the Kasulampua 2026 Regional Consultation (Konreg), by emphasizing that the results of the forum should be followed up in real policies or not just documents.

"The results of Konreg should not stop as a report. It must be a reference in drafting more targeted development policies," said Governor Zainal, Wednesday, April 15.

He said that the coordination of data and policies between regions in the Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua regions was important to reduce development inequality.

"We need common data and policy directions, so that development does not go on its own," said Zainal.

According to him, the great potential in the Kasulampua area has not been fully maximized because there are still differences in approaches in planning in each region.

"Our potential is great, but if it is not synergized, the results will not be optimal," he said.

Zainal also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the central government, regions, and all stakeholders in monitoring the implementation of the forum's results.

"Synergy is the key. Without collaboration, this recommendation will not be effective," he said.

He hopes that the results of Konreg can be immediately integrated into regional planning documents and become a reference in making future policies.

"The existing recommendations must be able to be directly translated into development programs and activities," he concluded.
