JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) has written to the Indonesian National Army (TNI) to investigate four suspects suspected of being involved in the case of pouring hard water on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus.
"We are still waiting, we have sent a letter to the TNI to get access to examine the four (suspects)," said Komnas HAM Monitoring and Investigation Commissioner Saurlin P. Siagian as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 8.

On the same occasion, the Coordinator of the Human Rights Enforcement Sub-Commission of Komnas HAM, Pramono Ubaid Tanthowi, explained that Komnas HAM had also summoned the TNI Military Police Center (Puspom) on Wednesday (1/4) to coordinate the development of the case.
"So, when we asked for information from the TNI last week on Wednesday (1/4). One of the things we asked for was that the investigation process at Puspom be transparent. We asked for three things, one of which was that Komnas HAM was given access to meet with the four perpetrators. Well, that's what we are still coordinating," he said.
Komnas HAM, said Pramono, continues to ask that the examination can be carried out on Friday (10/4) and is still waiting for approval from the TNI Puspom.
"We ask for it on Friday (10/4) tomorrow, but we are waiting for approval from the Puspom party," he said.
To meet the demands of civil society for public trials, Komnas HAM is trying to investigate the alleged involvement of other parties, in addition to the four suspected suspects who are currently detained by the TNI.
