Cianjur - The Cianjur Police, West Java, have intensified raids on motorcycles with brong exhaust pipes on a number of protocol routes in Cianjur and secured around 87 motorcycles with non-standard exhaust pipes.

The Cianjur Police Chief, Deputy Commissioner of Police Alexander Yurikho Hadi in Cianjur, Sunday, said dozens of bicycles were secured in a raid held until Sunday morning.

The Razia will continue to be held and intensified by involving the ranks of the Polsek to motorcyclists in Cianjur no longer using noisy exhaust.

The Police Chief said that so far there have been many complaints from the public, especially other drivers who feel very disturbed by the increasingly rampant loud exhaust, even over the past week more than 400 motorbikes have been secured.

"We returned the motorcycle after the owner replaced the noisy exhaust with the factory exhaust and completed the deficiencies, such as the rearview mirror, police number and others," he said.

He explained that raids would continue to be held until there were no more motorcycle riders who violated the rules, including to the corners involving the ranks of the Polsek, because most people were very disturbed by the deafening sound of the exhaust.

The noisy exhaust Razia has been held since the homecoming and return flow of Eid and will continue to be held as long as there are still motorcycle riders who use noisy exhaust in the Cianjur legal area.

The Police Chief asked the motorcycle owner to comply with traffic rules, one of which is not using a noisy exhaust because it can disturb the community or other riders and those who have been caught will not repeat the mistake.

"Random raids at a number of points will continue to be held until there are no more motorcycles using noisy exhausts in Cianjur, obey traffic rules and listen to the advice of officers to be safe, comfortable, and safe while driving," he said.

He added that officers would take action against every motorcycle with a loud exhaust even when passing outside the raid schedule and asked riders to replace it with a factory-made exhaust as long as the vehicle was not replaced, it would be secured at the Cianjur Police.
