Government Claims Eid Transportation is Smooth, Seskab: According to Prabowo's Expectations

JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the implementation of the 1447 Hijriah Lebaran transportation went smoothly and according to President Prabowo Subianto's expectations, based on the results of direct monitoring in the field.

"This year, we all hope, the President hopes, that the Lebaran transportation will run better. Alhamdulillah so far it has been proven," said Teddy when reviewing the return flow at the Pulo Gebang Terminal, Wednesday, March 25, early morning.

He assessed that the handling of the homecoming and return flow this year showed significant improvement compared to previous years. Even though there was an increase in community mobility, the travel conditions were still maintained smoothly.

According to Teddy, the homecoming flow previously took place in a conducive manner, and the trend continued in the reverse flow period with minimal meaning. He said there was a buildup at one point, but it could be immediately overcome by officers so that it would not have a wide impact.

"The quick response from the Ministry of Transportation and the National Police is an important factor in maintaining the smooth flow of traffic," he said.

Teddy emphasized the importance of direct verification on the ground, not only relying on reports, so that the government can understand the real conditions faced by the community and ensure that every obstacle is handled quickly and appropriately.

He also appreciated the performance of the Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi who was actively monitoring various modes of transportation.

"He checked the land, sea, and air facilities to ensure that the service was running optimally," said Teddy.

On the same occasion, Dudy said that the peak of the return flow of land transportation was predicted to occur on March 24-25 and to increase again on March 28-29.

The government, he continued, has prepared various strategies to anticipate congestion, including the implementation of traffic engineering such as the national one-way system.

Dudy also appealed to the public to take advantage of the work from anywhere (WFA) policy to manage travel time and disperse the backflow density.

"We hope that the public can plan their trip well so that the distribution of Lebaran transportation remains smooth," he said.

The government hopes that the implementation of Lebaran transportation in the future will continue to improve in quality in order to provide increasingly optimal services for the community.
