Lebaran 2026 Travelers Begin to Appear at Bakauheni Port, Lampung

JAKARTA - Lebaran 2026 traveler activity at Bakauheni Port, South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province, began to be seen by filling the local pier parking lot on H-8 of the Idulfitri 1447 Hijrah holiday or Friday, March 13.

Based on monitoring at the location, Friday, March 13, four-wheeled vehicles, buses, and logistics trucks that were about to cross to Merak Port, Banten, were seen to be smooth.

The atmosphere of the parking lot at the executive and regular docks was also crowded. Pedestrians with four-wheeled vehicles continued to arrive at the Bakauheni Port to wait in line to enter the ship deck.

Although there was a density of four-wheeled vehicles in the parking lot of the executive and regular docks, it did not cause a long traffic jam and ran smoothly.

One of the travelers from Lubuk Linggau, South Sumatra, Revan when interviewed at the Bakauheni Port Parking Lot explained that he had made an early homecoming trip to avoid congestion.

"We want to go to Pekalongan, Central Java. This early homecoming so that we are not stuck in traffic jams, both in the port area and on the way to our hometowns," he said.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PT ASDP Bakauheni Branch, Partogi Tamba said that his party had prepared various supporting facilities to provide the best service to prospective travelers.

According to him, the crossing track connecting the islands of Sumatra and Java is a vital route in supporting community mobility as well as national logistics distribution.

"We have also prepared various facilities, such as buffer zones, delaying systems, CCTV, 24-hour health services, and optimizing port time (port time) to ensure that operations run smoothly. We also activate shuttle buses to transport passengers from regular terminals to piers 4, 5 and 6 in case of emergencies or congestion of passengers in the port area," he said, quoted by Antara.

He hopes that with the various preparations from the ASDP, the public can plan their trip early and comply with the applicable operational arrangements so that the homecoming trip goes smoothly, orderly, comfortable, and safe.

"The smooth operation of the crossing depends not only on the readiness of the operator, but also on strong synergy between regulators, operators, and all stakeholders at the port," he said.
