Police Will Check Dewi Perssik About Viral Business Celebration Stage In Kudus

KUDUS - Polres Kudus, Central Java has sent a letter to Dewi Perssik for questioning. Dewi Perssik was summoned because he was performing at a celebration at the house of a businessman in Kaliwungu sub-district who allegedly did not comply with health protocols.

"We have given a letter asking for the information in question and we have received an answer. Dewi Persik gave an answer and will come for questioning, but waiting for the COVID-19 case in Kudus to subside," said Kudus Police Chief Aditya Surya Dharma, quoted by Antara, Thursday, 3 June.

But because it is not yet certain when Dewi Perssik can be questioned, the police have the option of going to Dewi Perssik.

His status, he said, was still as a witness because previously the owner of the celebration event in Prambatan Lor Village, Kaliwungu Kudus District and the manager of an activity (EO/event organizer) had previously been asked.

Other witnesses who were questioned included local residents, the sub-district head, the village head, and the military commander.

The owner of the celebration along with the workers and their families have also undergone an antigen swab test with all negative results.

The case emerged after a video showing Dewi Persik singing at a celebration event in Kudus Regency went viral, for allegedly violating health protocols on Saturday, May 23. The celebration was reported to have obtained permission from the Kudus COVID-19 Task Force Team by complying with health protocols, including restrictions on guests attending.

However, after the main event was over, it turned out that the artist Dewi Perssik was present and the video was spread on social media.
