Still Being Investigated, 5 Sympathizers Of Rizieq Shihab Confess That They Only Want To Come To The Trial

JAKARTA - Five sympathizers of Rizieq Shihab who were detained by the police at the East Jakarta District Court are still undergoing investigation. Interim results, they admitted that they only wanted to witness the trial process firsthand.

"(The purpose) is to attend the trial", said Head of Criminal Investigation at the East Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Indra Tarigan to VOI, Thursday, June 3.

They were arrested because their movements were suspicious. Rizieq's sympathizers drove around the East Jakarta Terrible Court four times. In fact, the police became increasingly suspicious because they had time to take pictures of the surrounding conditions.

However, until now the police have not explained in detail the reasons behind their suspicious behavior. The reason, the five people are still undergoing examination.

"The investigation is still ongoing", said Indra.

Previously, five of Rizieq Shihab's sympathizers were arrested on Thursday, June 3, morning. Temporary information, the five people came from outside Jakarta. Apart from that, nothing suspicious was found.

"There are no (sharp weapons), they are from Karawang", said the East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Erwin Kurniawan.
