Minister Of Religion Announces Certainty For Tomorrow's Hajj

JAKARTA - Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas will announce the certainty of organizing the 2021 Hajj on Thursday, June 3, tomorrow.

This decision was taken after the Ministry of Religion held a closed meeting with Commission VIII at the DPR building, Wednesday, June 2. The meeting lasted about 1.5 hours.

"The House of Representatives Commission VIII together with the Ministry of Religion have discussed the implementation of worship from A to Z, we conclude that it will be officially announced tomorrow at 1 pm at the Ministry of Religion Office," said Minister of Religion Yaqut at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta.

Yaqut asked all parties to understand the decision. This is because the Ministry of Religion and related stakeholders need to prepare everything before it is announced to the public.

"Please understand, be patient for a moment. Assobru jamil, patient person, nice, beautiful. Tomorrow we will convey to the public, a little patience must be arranged, must be correct," said Yaqut

Previously, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas said that until now there has been no country that has received certainty about the quota for Hajj 1442 Hijri / 21 AD.

According to Yaqut, the Saudi Arabian government has not announced certainty about the opening of the Hajj pilgrimage for foreign nationals and their quotas.

"There is not a single country in the world that has a hajj mission, which now has a hajj quota. Because the hajj quota depends on the Saudi government," Yaqut said.

Yaqut also asked all parties to wait for an official announcement regarding the implementation of the Hajj from the Government of Saudi Arabia.

However, the Indonesian government will also take a stand on whether to dispatch pilgrims or not.

"When it comes to the decision whether Indonesia will send the hajj or not, we will wait. In one or two days there will be a decision," he said.
