JAKARTA - Food vloger William Codeblu was again reported by the Clairmont brand to the Directorate of Cyber Crime of the National Police for allegedly spreading incorrect information and extortion.

The report was received and registered with LP number LP/B/51/II/2026/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI dated February 2, 2026.

"We report the person concerned, the initials CB, his real name WA, we report it at the National Police Headquarters with Article 29 and Article 35," said Clairmont's lawyer, Regan Jayawisastra in Central Jakarta, Friday, February 13, 2026.

Regan explained that this incident began when Codeblu uploaded a video about Clairmont's cake.

"Our client is accused of handing over cakes that have been moldy and rotten to orphanages. And secondly, using toppers that have been touched by hands and then stored on top of the cake and then sold, even though it was actually only for display," he said.

As a result of the video, Clairmont admitted that it suffered significant losses. The product was said to be unsold and many consumers canceled their orders, especially because the incident occurred during the peak season.

The owner of Clairmont, Susana Darmawan, said the losses suffered amounted to around Rp5 billion.

"Our losses are not small because when it is tainted it is peak season. We have provided thousands of stocks, hundreds of millions to billions of rupiah in inventory that after the season is not sold. But we still have to pay suppliers, employees. Living as an entrepreneur is not easy," said Susana.

Susana also revealed that he had built a communication with Codeblu to discuss the problem. In the meeting, Codeblu was said to have expressed regret for the negative review he made.

However, according to Susana, instead of apologizing publicly, Codeblu was allegedly offering consulting services to improve the image with fantastic value.

"We were offered a consultant fee of Rp. 350 million. He said because their rate was Rp. 650 million," he said.

Previously, this case was also processed at the South Jakarta Metro Police and both parties had undergone mediation. However, mediation was not reached an agreement.

"Yesterday I had to carry out mediation, but the person concerned still did not have the will to return the losses suffered by our client," concluded Regan.
