According to the Police Chief, there were eight victims of the oplosan liquor, with six of them dying on behalf of Muhammad Arik Zulkarnain (33), Fatekur Rohman (38), Sholeh (51), Nur Amin (58), Sulhadi (53), and Eko Sri Wijayanto (33).
Meanwhile, the other two victims, namely Samiun (52) and Ardhianyasy Yusuf Yusona (31), are currently undergoing treatment at the Kartini Jepara Hospital. Both victims have shortness of breath, blurred vision, vomiting and dizziness.
In the disclosure of this case, the police seized a number of evidence in the form of two white jugs, gallons of water of various sizes, 11 bottles of mineral water, filtering devices, funnels, water pumps, measuring jugs, buckets, 13 glasses, packaged milk, stamina-enhancing drinks, and other mixing materials used to mix liquor.

For their actions, the Police Chief added, the suspects were charged with Article 342 and/or Article 424 of the Criminal Code, as well as Article 435 of Law Number 17 concerning Health and/or Article 62 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection in conjunction with Article 20 of the Criminal Code.
The perpetrators are threatened with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a fine in accordance with the applicable provisions.
Hadi emphasized that the Jepara Police would continue to develop this case, including hunting down alcohol suppliers who are currently still listed as wanted (DPO).
