JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received a working visit from Australian Prime Minister (PM) Anthony Albanese at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Friday, February 6.

Quoted by Antara, the procession of PM Albanese's vehicles entered the Merdeka Palace grounds, Jakarta, at around 09.00 WIB. PM Albanese was escorted by 17 motorcyclists, and 80 mounted troops.

President Prabowo also welcomed PM Albanese directly after getting off the vehicle. The two shook hands and greeted each other.

President Prabowo and PM Albanese then watched the welcoming dance before entering the Merdeka Palace. The national anthems of the two countries were played.

President Prabowo introduced a number of members of the Red and White Cabinet, namely the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Investment and Industrialization Rosan Roslani, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and Indonesian Ambassador to Australia Siswo Pramono.

Then, PM Albanese also introduced the companion on the working visit which consisted of Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Rodrick Bruce Bazier.
