Witness Of The Bansos Corruption Court Reveals Juliari's Instructions Not To Drag Himself During OTT KPK

JAKARTA - Former Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the Ministry of Social Affairs and a defendant in the alleged bribery case for social assistance (bansos), Adi Wahyono said Juliari Peter Batubara had given directions not to drag his name when the KPK carried out a hand arrest operation (OTT).

This statement was made when Adi said that Juliari had asked all officials of the Ministry of Social Affairs who went to Malang to gather in a hotel room.

"I was woken up at 7 in the morning, there was a knock. I was in the same hotel in Malang with the minister," Adi said during a trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Monday, May 31.

"What for?" asked the prosecutor.

"Because there is the news (OTT KPK)," said Adi.

Adi explained that the officials gathered by Juliari included the Director General of Social and Social Security, Pepen Nazarudin, Adi Karyono, and Kukuh Ary Wibowo.

They were gathered to find all information related to the KPK OTT. The Prosecutor then touched on whether there was a directive from Juliari to them.

"Minister directives?" asked the prosecutor.

"Yes, the instructions must be if my language is wrong, if I am very aware this concerns me. I carried out orders that I shouldn't have done. So I must have been arrested, I realized," said Adi.

Until finally, the prosecutor read out the results of the examination report (BAP) from Adi. It contained a directive from Juliari not to drag his name in the alleged corruption case of social assistance (bansos).

"BAP number 75 point 7 when the KPK arrested Matheus Joko, I, Kukuh, Pepen Nazarudin, Adi Karyono, and Juliari gathered in Juliari's room at the hotel in Malang. At that time Juliari asked me not to bring Juliari's name in this social assistance case and tell me so that later on there is no direction whatsoever on this social assistance from Juliari, correct?" said the prosecutor.

"Yes," replied Adi agreeing.

"This continued when meeting the person concerned during the extension of the detention. At that time I was asked to convey that there was no order from the person concerned," said the prosecutor reading out the BAP.

"Yes sir," said Adi.
