Police And Transportation Agency Will Determine Whether The Kampung Melayu-Tanah Abang JLNT Is Suitable As A Special Facility

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya and the Department of Transportation (Dishub) of DKI will determine whether or not the road bike lane on the Kampung Melayu-Tanah Abang Flyover Non-Toll Road (JLNT) is a special facility after a two-week trial. The determination depends on the results of the evaluation.

"In the meantime, what was tested yesterday at JLNT Casablanca. We'll see later, we'll both hear and discuss the results of the evaluation. Is it appropriate or not to be used as a special facility," said Director of Traffic and Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Monday, May 31.

One of the considerations is the condition of the road. In addition, medical factors are also things to consider. Because, some time ago a cyclist had a heart attack.

"Is there a damaged road under Saharjo in front of Kokas has it been repaired yet. What about health facilities? Ambulances and all that. Because yesterday someone had a heart attack and all kinds of things," he explained.

Later, if the Kampung Melayu-Tanah Abang JLNT is not suitable, then other routes will be considered. Until later all categories are considered suitable for cyclists and other road users.

"Of course this is a material for our consideration whether the flyover is suitable or not or can be used as a place for road bikes or maybe if we need to use it, we look for other places in Kemayoran or where," he said.

Previously, the Transportation Agency of DKI Jakarta Province would implement traffic engineering related to the trial of the Kampung Melayu - Tanah Abang non-toll flyover road bike (JLNT). This traffic engineering will take place on Sunday, May 22 from 05.00 to 08.00 WIB.

"The Kampung Melayu - Tanah Abang Non-Toll Flyover is used as a road bike to make a U-turn towards the West under Dr. Saharjo's flyover," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Service, Syafrin Liputo.
