For prospective passengers whose train schedule is canceled, KAI provides a 100 percent refund of the ticket fee, which can be done up to H+7 from the departure date through the station counter, application and official ticket sales channel, as well as the KAI Contact Center 121.
"All of our operational decisions are taken solely to ensure the safety of train travel. KAI continues to evaluate and monitor until operations return to normal," said Franoto.
He added that operational disruptions to train travel still occurred until Monday (19/1) due to waterlogging and flooding at a number of locations on the Pekalongan area railway line, which had an impact on the smooth running of trains to and from the Jakarta Daop 1 area.
The flood conditions that are still occurring in several points on the rail line require KAI to take extraordinary operational steps to maintain the safety of train travel by meeting the safety standards of its facilities and infrastructure.
"Railway travel safety is our top priority. For this reason, KAI canceled a number of train trips," said Franoto.
