JAKARTA - The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) RI provides free health services for survivors of flood disasters in Tukka District, Central Tapanuli Regency (Tapteng), North Sumatra Province.

For this reason, a team from the Baznas Healthy House immediately provided various services in the form of health checks, medication, and vitamin distribution for our brothers and sisters in Central Tapanuli who were affected by the disaster," said the Head of Baznas RI Distribution and Utilization Saidah Sakwan through a statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

He said this effort was to ensure that the public received quick assistance, especially that health problems in disaster locations were serious and immediately addressed.

He hopes that the provision of free health services and free medicines can help maintain the health of survivors and minimize the risk of diseases that often appear after disasters.

"Baznas also invites the public to continue to pray and help our brothers and sisters who are affected by disasters, especially in the Sumatra region," said Saidah Sakwan.

As of Tuesday (6/1), Baznas has distributed assistance to 122,766 beneficiaries affected by disasters in the Sumatra region. Public kitchens, logistics distribution, health services, clean water, to psychosocial support.
