JAKARTA - There are three more COVID-19 patients in Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, who have died. So that the total death cases due to the new type of corona virus in the area reached 65 people.

Bangka Regency COVID-19 Task Force spokesperson Boy Yandra said the three COVID-19 patients who died, Zz (68), respectively, were women; and Loa (1.5), male, both from Sungailiat District. Both died at the Depati Bahrin Sungailiat Hospital. Another patient Ma (52), a man from West Mendo District, died at the provincial hospital.

The accumulated death cases of COVID-19 patients in Bangka Regency reached 65 people spread across eight districts, namely Bakam four people, nine people Belinyu and West Mendo District six people.

Then from Merawang Subdistrict four people, Pemali six people, Puding Besar three people, Riau Silip five people and from Sungailiat District reaching 28 people.

"For positive cases, there are 52 additional people, bringing the total number of cases to 3,872 people, while today's cure rate is 24, or a total of 3,368 people," said Boy Yandra, in Sungailiat, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 28.

He said, residents who are still undergoing isolation for the process of health recovery, either in hospitals or in the isolation hall provided by the local government or undergoing independent isolation because they are confirmed positive for COVID-19, there are 439 people.

The distribution of positive cases by age group category, he said, was mostly in the age group of 20 to 44 years as many as 1,812 people, age group 45 to 54 years as many as 520 people, ages five to 15 years to 444 people and the rest in the age group of 55 years. and above and hundreds of toddlers and dozens of babies confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"I ask the public to really be disciplined in implementing health protocols considering that cases still occur every day and the number of cases is even higher than the cure rate," he said.
