President Emphasizes Government's Hard Work In Handling Disasters: I Continue To Monitor

President Prabowo Subianto stated that the government had deployed dozens of helicopters and planes from various agencies to evacuate residents and send logistical assistance to flood-affected victims in Aceh and Sumatra.

When meeting directly with residents affected by the disaster at the Vocational Post for Refugees at SMP Negeri 2 Wih, Pesam, Bener Meriah, Central Aceh, Prabowo emphasized the government's commitment to restoring people's lives.

"Soon we will overcome these difficulties together. We have deployed dozens of helicopters, dozens of planes," Prabowo said as stated by the Presidential Secretariat as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 12.

Prabowo promised to rebuild the houses that were destroyed by floods and landslides.

However, the President asked for the patience of the community because all recovery efforts require a long process.

"We have also prepared a plan to replace all houses. But, of course, we need patience from ladies and gentlemen, because we can't solve all of that immediately," he said.

Prabowo said the government would not let people face difficulties.

The Head of State directly monitors the post-disaster recovery process so that everything goes smoothly. "Then I will monitor and I will pay attention to everything," said Prabowo.

On that occasion, Prabowo also expressed his appreciation to the regional government, the TNI, Polri, the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, and all parties collaborating to help communities affected by the disaster.

"We will be with all of you, all of you. Not alone, we will be together," said Prabowo.
