National Police Chief Issues Police Perpol Placement Of Police Members In 17 Ministries

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sihot Prabowo signed Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 10 of 2025 concerning the assignment of Polri members outside the structure of the police organization.

Perpol tersebut mengatur soal anggota Polri aktif dapat mengisi jabatan di 17 kementerian dan lembaga. Dalam beleid itu, anggota Polri dapat ditugaskan ke jabatan di luar kepolisian dengan syarat melepaskan jabatan di Polri.

"The implementation of the duties of members of the Indonesian National Police outside the Organizational Structure of the State Police of the Republic of Indonesia, which is further called the Implementation of the Duties of Police Members, is the assignment of Polri members to positions outside the structure of the National Police organization which by releasing positions within the Police," reads Article 1 Paragraph (1), quoted Friday, December 12, 2025.

Then, Article 2 states that members of the National Police can carry out their duties both at home and abroad.

Meanwhile, Article 3 Paragraph (1) states that domestic assignments can be carried out on ministries, institutions, agencies, commissions, to international organizations or foreign national representative offices domiciled in Indonesia.

Article 3 Paragraph (2) confirms that there are 17 ministries and institutions that can be filled by members of the National Police. Assignments can be in the form of managerial and non-managerial positions.

The following is a list of 17 Ministries and Institutions that can be occupied by members of the National Police:

1. Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs2. Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources3. Ministry of Law 4. Ministry of Immigration and Corrections 5. Ministry of Forestry 6. Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries 7. Ministry of Transportation 8. Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers9. ATR/BPN10. Lemhannas11. Financial Services Authority12. PPATK13. BNN14. BNPT15. BIN16. BSSN17. KPK

Furthermore, Article (4) states that occupied positions must be related to the function of the police and based on the request of the relevant ministries or institutions.

This rule was signed by the National Police Chief on December 9, 2025 and promulgated by the Ministry of Law a day later. This step attracted attention because it was published just days after the Constitutional Court (MK), decided that active police should not occupy civilian positions, unless they had resigned or retired.
