South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Liliy Pali confirmed that the police will investigate the perpetrators of the beating of two debt collectors or Elang Eyes, as well as the perpetrators of the burning and destruction of stalls belonging to street vendors (PKL) in front of the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP).

He said the investigation process was carried out collaboratively between the Polres, Polda Metro Jaya, and Polsek Pancoran to reveal the perpetrators of the beating that occurred on Thursday afternoon, December 11, 2025.

Nicolas explained that there were two cases being handled, namely beatings that left one victim dead and another seriously injured, as well as destruction of residents' stalls.

The beatings were carried out, causing the victim to die and serious injuries. Meanwhile, the destruction of residents' belongings was allegedly carried out by the mass group," he said.

According to him, the beating of the two debt collectors triggered a reaction from fellow victims, which amounted to around 80 to 100 people. The mob came suddenly and damaged a number of stalls around the scene.

"Actually, we from the police have anticipated it, but the sudden mass force of approximately 100 people has damaged the stalls around this place," he explained.

He emphasized that until now the investigation process is still ongoing. The police will also check the condition of the victims being treated at Budi Asih Hospital and help the affected shop owners.

"Until now, the situation at the TKP is under control. Members from Brimob, Patra, Polda, and Polres are already at the location to secure the crime scene," he concluded.
