ACEH - The Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Muda Sedia, Aceh Tamiang Regency, is back in operation after being completely paralyzed due to being flooded, even though the service is still running on a limited basis.

"Starting today, the ER can be used. We have opened medical services for minor illness with an outpatient system," said Director of the Muda Sedia Hospital, Andika Putra, in Aceh Tamiang, Antara, Wednesday, December 10.

He explained that the services opened include mild cases such as incision wounds caused by glass, zinc, or minor accidents. Patients with chronic diseases are also still being served, and will be referred to Langsa Hospital or Medan if they need further treatment.

"Our room is not yet possible for opname patients, all are still outpatients. Health checks, given medication, then patients are treated at home," he said.

Currently, the hospital together with local TNI/Polri and PDAM personnel are still carrying out thorough cleaning of all rooms, including corridors. The type B hospital also received support from additional medical personnel from North Sumatra.

Meanwhile, for electricity, the PLN flow has returned to service even though it has not been stable for 24 hours.

"If there is a blackout, there is still a generator from PLN," said Andika.

He said hospital management was obliged to provide daily reports to the Ministry of Health regarding the progress of recovery and medical services.

Andika revealed that 95 percent of medical equipment was damaged due to flooding and mud, including medicines stored downstairs.

This condition had paralyzed the service because the stock of drugs was running out, and only relied on the remaining drugs on the second floor.

"Today we have received the patient back after the ER was activated. We are asked to update it every day by the Ministry of Health, including the issue of cleaning the room, there should be no more traces of mud," said Andika.
