BOGOR Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) strengthens regional cultural identity through the construction of a giant quanjang ornament at the peak of the Pancakarsa Monument, Simpang Circuit Sentul, Babakan Madang District. On Monday 8 December, Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto directly led the process of installing ornaments which were the final stages of the construction of the monument.

Kujang made of gold yellow with a total height of 14 meters was installed using heavy equipment from day to night. After the process of lifting and adjusting the structure, ornaments are now standing tall as new elements that strengthen the visual character of the Sentul area.

Head of the Bogor Regency Housing, Settlement and Land Office (DPKPP), Eko Mujiarto, explained that the construction of the quajang is an important part of the completion of the previously unfinished Pancakarsa Monument.

He detailed that the quajang has a height of 14 meters, consisting of 4 meters of the layout and 10 meters of the body to the end of the knife. The direction of the quajang is positioned before the Pakansari Stadium and the Jagorawi Toll Road so that it functions as a strategic visual marker for the community and visitors who pass.

Eko emphasized that the selection of quajang as the main ornament has a strong cultural meaning for Bogor Regency. Kujang is a weapon of Prabu Siliwangi and becomes a symbol of Sundanese culture. Therefore, it is very appropriate to place it in the Pancakarsa Monument as an icon of Bogor Regency," he said.

The Bogor Regency Government hopes that the installation of this ornament will further beautify the Sentul area, strengthen regional identity, and bring new pride to residents of Bogor Regency. The presence of the giant arena is also an important marker that Sentul is the main gateway to the city center and government area of Bogor Regency.
