Polda Metro Sita Molotov Bombs To Be Used For The Next December 10 Demo

JAKARTA - The Head of Sub-Directorate III of the PMJ Directorate, AKBP Rafles Marpaung, explained that the arrest of two of the three suspects, BDM and TSF, started with a cyber patrol of the Criminal Investigation Team who found the Instagram account of the 'explosive'.

Rafles said the account uploaded a photo of a building with a threat narrative, including We are the shadow you are afraid of and we are terror, and Wisma, I've been terrorized, just the time your office wanted me to be terrorized

"The provocative upload was forwarded by the cyber patrol team to investigators, until finally BDM, the admin of the account, was arrested on Saturday 7 December 2025 at his home in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, at around 00.30 WIB," said AKBP Rafles Marpaung to reporters, Monday, December 8, 2025 at Polda Metro Jaya.

"From the results of the examination of BDM's brother and based on the available evidence, 6 bottles were assembled to become Molotov cocktails and chats on the session platform," he continued.

It was later discovered that the Molotov cocktail was made at the request of the TSF, which was later arrested in Bekasi. TSF is the controller of the "VRDTS" account, an account that initially discussed history and conspiracy but recently turned into a provocation account and called for riots.

"TSF has uninstalled the application before it is arrested," he said

However, TSF is said to have not admitted to ordering Molotov cocktails from BDM. In addition, the police also found other accounts affiliated with the same network, which posted pipe bombs, plans to attack police stations, and traps against officers.

There are also other affiliated accounts preparing for riots during demonstrations. One of them is by posting a pipe bomb, planning an attack on the police station, and trapping the police to a place that has been prepared," he explained.

Furthermore, the Head of Sub-Directorate IV of the PMJ Directorate, AKBP Herman Edco Wijaya Simbolon revealed that the arrest of the third suspect with the initials YM was carried out in Bandung, West Java. YM, the owner of the Catsrebel account, is suspected of transmitting electronic documents containing threats of violence and having explosives.

From the YM perpetrator, the police found an upload in the form of a photo of explosives with the status "while getting ready."

"At the time of the arrest, we also found some evidence, namely in the form of Molotov cocktails that had been prepared, allegedly to carry out riots, and supported by some electronic document data from cellphones and social media accounts controlled by the perpetrators," he said.

The police admitted that they were still developing other suspected perpetrators who sent or transmitted documents containing threats.
