He said the temporary impact observed in the field was that the Maumere-Larantuka route was hampered because it was covered in mud and lava material. A total of three houses in Dulipali Village were heavily damaged, and one house in Klatanlo Village was buried in mud as high as 40 cm.
"This incident also caused the electricity network to be cut off due to the collapse of several power poles in Dulipali Village," he said.
Until now, the activity level of Mount Lewotobi Men is still set at Level IV (AWAS).
He also appealed to the public and tourists not to carry out activities within a radius of 6 km and 7 km of the northwest-northeast sector from the eruption center, and to remain calm and follow directions from local governments.
The public is also asked not to trust information with unclear sources.
"Residents affected by ash rain are advised to use masks or nasal and mouth coverings to protect the respiratory tract," he said.
