Polda Metro Prepares Traffic Engineering For 212 Reunion At Monas

JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has prepared traffic engineering and parking bags in the plan for the 212 Reunion which will take place in the Monas area on December 2, 2025.

Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Komaruddin said that his party predicts the density of vehicle flows on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Timur, North, and South, especially in the afternoon which coincides with office hours.

"We urge people who are active in Jakarta to avoid these sections," he told the media at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, December 2, 2025.

The flow diversion will be carried out situationally. If mass mobilization is large enough, the diversion will be enforced earlier. On the other hand, however, if field conditions are still possible, the route remains open to the general public.

"Given the implementation of the afternoon, of course at the same time as the office's return time, this also needs to be anticipated," he said.

Furthermore, related to parking bags, the police have prepared several locations. Participants who come by bus will be directed to the Jalan Benjamin Sueb area after the drop-off process. Meanwhile, participants with private vehicles can take advantage of IRTI parking, Istiqlal Mosque, and Pertamina area around the location.

He advised participants to use public transportation given the limited parking area and high traffic activity at that time.

"It would be better, when every participant who will later attend the 212 reunion event, maybe we prefer to use public or public transportation," he said.

Still related to traffic security, the police prepared 1,214 personnel and anticipated 67 points in ring 1, ring 2, and ring 3, including density-prone areas such as Harmoni, Tugu Tani, and Sarinah.

The 212 Reunion activity was reported through a notification, the plan was to take place from 18.00 WIB until the evening. However, mass mobilization is expected to begin since the Ba'da Asar.

The police also reminded participants to remain orderly in traffic, including using a helmet for motorcyclists. Traffic violations will be automatically caught on the ETLE camera.

"Anyone who violates will be captured on camera and sent a notification for ticket payment. Otherwise, the STNK will be blocked," he said.
