JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Djamari Chaniago reminded the management staff in the Kitchen of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) to be more careful in choosing the food ingredients used.

"Every raw material must be ensured to be fresh. Do not let any material that is not suitable for entering the processing process, because this concerns the health of the beneficiaries," said Djamari Chaniago in Aceh, Thursday, November 27, as reported by ANTARA.

He said this when he directly inspected the Kitchen of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) at the SPPG Neusu Complex of the Dharma Bhakti Iskandar Muda Foundation, Banda Aceh. He was accompanied by the Commander of the Iskandar Muda Regional Military Command (Pangdam IM) Major General TNI Joko Hadi Susilo.

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs also advised that all kitchen management procedures be carried out in accordance with applicable food safety standards.

"I want everything to go according to the SOP. There is no compromise in public services that are directly related to public health," he said.

He hopes that the SPPG Kitchen can continue to improve service quality and become a model for other regions in the implementation of the community nutrition fulfillment program.

"Hopefully what has gone well here can be replicated in other areas, so that the benefits will be wider for the community," he said.

"The visit is carried out to ensure that the fulfillment of nutrition to the community, especially vulnerable groups, can run optimally and according to the social service standards set by the government," said the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

On the sidelines of the direct review, he explained that he wanted to see firsthand the mechanism for the work of the SPPG kitchen, starting from the process of receiving raw materials, storage systems, food processing methods, to distribution flow to beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries of the SPPG include PAUD, SD, SMP, SMA/SMK students, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers.

'Funishing nutrition for the community, especially the younger generation, is an important investment for the future of the nation. Foods that are distributed must not only be nutritious, but also hygienic. Cleaning the processing process is part of our moral responsibility to the community," he said.

After reviewing the SPPG kitchen, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs together with the Military Commander IM and his entourage continued their visit to SMP Kartika XIV-1 Banda Aceh.
