Members Of The Bekasi Regency DPRD Reported On Allegations Of Persecution Of A Resident In A Restaurant

JAKARTA - A resident named Fendy (41) reported the alleged beating involving a member of the Bekasi Regency DPRD with the initials N. The incident occurred at Shao Kao Restaurant, Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, on Wednesday, October 29, evening. However, this case was only reported by the victim to Polda Metro Jaya, on October 30, 2025.

Fendy said that at that time he came to the restaurant at around 20.30 WIB with several of his colleagues. After eating, his colleagues said goodbye at around 23.30 WIB. When he took his colleagues to the front of the restaurant, that's when he noticed the driver from DPRD members who kept staring at him.

"I don't know what the purpose is. We are also worried, I'm afraid something will happen," said Fendy at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 26.

He then returned to the restaurant while waiting for a pick-up. However, the driver reportedly came back in and returned home. Fendy admitted that he finally asked directly to the council member.

"Sir, why do you keep looking at your driver?" said Fendy imitating his question.

According to him, the crowded atmosphere of the restaurant accompanied by music made the conversation not clear. However, after he repeated the question, the response that emerged took him by surprise.

"The man immediately stood up, ran to my table with his friends. There were 14 people. 'Did you challenge me?' He said. I said no, I just asked. Just said that I was beaten by them," explained Fendy.

He admitted that he was beaten for the first time by the DPRD member, before being beaten by many people.

"Some use bottles, some use chairs, some throw them," he said.

At that time Fendy admitted that he could only squat while protecting his face.

According to him, the incident was also known to the security of the Shao Kao Restaurant. They along with several servants even tried to intervene and evacuate them to the kitchen area, then went to the prayer room at the back of the restaurant.

Security said, 'You don't go out just yet, they're still looking for you.' I was told to wait until it was safe,' he said.

As a result of the beating, Fendy admitted that he suffered a number of injuries, including lumps to his eyes, blood coming out on his face and arms, and bruises on his head due to being hit by a bottle.

He also admitted that he knew that the perpetrator was a member of the Bekasi Regency DPRD because he often saw the person concerned eating at the restaurant.

"Happy birthday time has also celebrated there with his entourage," he said.

According to Fendy, he reported this case to the Polda Metro Jaya on October 30, 2025. Based on the investigator's statement, according to him, this case has also been taken over by the Bekasi Police.

"My hope is that the perpetrators will be tried soon," he concluded.
