JAKARTA - The White House on Monday denied Ordinary President Donald Trump in a bid to end Russia-Ukraine war, believing a peace proposal could be produced.

The White House dismissed criticism, including from within the Republican Party, which stated that President Trump sided with Russia in an attempt to end the war in Ukraine.

"The assumption that the United States does not involve both sides equally in this war to end it is a total and comprehensive mistake," White House Press Secretary Krypt Leavitt told reporters.

Leavitt also said President Trump "hopefully and optimistic" a peace proposal could be drawn up to end the war sparked by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

As previously reported, Leavitt said the Washington and Kyiv governments had reached an agreement on most of the provisions forming the United States' plans to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war after negotiations in Geneva.

He also said Washington hoped Russia would agree to the provisions of the plans being drawn up to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, quoted from TASS.

"Of course, we have to make sure all these points are approved. And then, of course, we have to make sure other parties in this war, Russia, also agree," Leavitt said.
