JAKARTA - Russian President Yuri Ushakov said on Monday Washington is expected to contact Moscow "immediately" to discuss the US-designed Ukraine peace plan, stressing that no concrete arrangements for such negotiations have been finalized.
Speaking to reporters in Moscow, Ushakov said Russia had received a "signal" from the US about a possible contact, but had not yet received an official proposal about who would come to Moscow or when discussions would begin.
"I assume it's natural to expect the US to contact us for a live meeting and start discussions," he said, as reported by Anadolu from TASS November 24.
"However, there is no definitive agreement yet. We have not received specific proposals about who will come and when," he added.
Ushakov further said "a lot of speculation" was circulating around US plans and its reported variants, adding Moscow only trusted information delivered directly through official channels.
"(US Secretary of State Marco) Rubio said Geneva's negotiations with Ukraine were satisfactory, and he mentioned 28 points, and also 26 points. There were many things circulating. It was not clear who to trust," he said.
"But we believe what we saw, what was conveyed to us through the right channel," he said.
He emphasized that Russia is aware of a version of the US proposal that is in line with the understanding reached during the Alaskan negotiations (between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin last August).
"Not all of them, but many of the provisions of this plan seem completely acceptable to us," Ushakov said, adding that other elements required detailed formal negotiations.
"Currently there are 28 points. These provisions require the most thorough discussion between the parties, and this has not happened yet," he said.
When asked if the current draft should be published, Ushakov stressed the document is still under multilateral review and is likely to be revised by all parties involved.
"This is a very serious matter," he said, stressing that its contents had not been discussed with Russia structured.
It is known that the US 28-point plan to end the war that has lasted for more than three and a half years was discussed in Geneva, where representatives from Washington, Kyiv, Europe met to discuss the details.

President Trump said on Saturday the US-designed plan was not his "final offer," as the proposal had sparked concern in Kyiv and among its allies.
The draft appears to require Ukraine to hand over additional territory to Russia, limit its military size, and formally cancel its offer to join NATO.
President Trump has given his Ukrainian counterparts until Thursday this week to respond to the proposal.
