JAKARTA - Russia has not received any information about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's approval to negotiate a peace plan proposed by United States President Donald Trump, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalist Alexander Yunashev.
"Peskov said Moscow had not been notified of Zelensky's approval to negotiate based on Trump's peace plan," the journalist wrote on his Telegram channel, as reported by TASS November 21.
As previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky has accepted a draft of a new US-backed plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war, hoping to speak with President Donald Trump in the coming days, the presidential office said on Thursday.
"We are ready now, as before, to work constructively with the Americans, as well as with our partners in Europe and around the world, so the result is peace," President Zelensky's Office said in a statement on Telegram.
As noted by the Financial Times (FT), the 28-point peace plan supported by President Trump requires a significant concession from Kyiv.
