AKBP P Examined By Propam Regarding The Death Of A Semarang Untag Lecturer

Central Java Police Bidpropam revealed the alleged violation of the Forensic Professional Code of Ethics involving AKBP B, after reports emerged that the officer was suspected of living with a woman without a legal marriage bond. Based on the initial findings, AKBP B is now subject to special placement for the next 20 days.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol Artanto, stated that AKBP B's actions were categorized as a serious violation because they were related to elements of decency and behavior in society.

"AKBP B is suspected of living with a woman without a legal marriage bond. This is a serious violation of the forensic professional code of ethics because it involves decency and behavior in society," said Kombes Pol Artanto, Thursday, November 20.

In the initial investigation, AKBP B admitted that he had communicated with the woman since 2021 and said that they had lived in the same house since around 2020.

Even so, the Central Java Police still emphasized that all confessions must be proven objectively.

"That's the confession of AKBP B. But everything must be proven, it can't just be based on verbal," he said.

The Central Java Regional Police are now continuing to dig up information from various witnesses. From the initial examination, AKBP B also admitted that he was at the location and lived in the same room with the woman.

Due to his close relationship with the victim, AKBP B was appointed as a key witness in criminal investigations and code of ethics.

Investigators are still investigating the substance of the case. The cause of death of the victim who was also highlighted in this case is still waiting for the autopsy results.

These results will determine whether the victim's death is natural or contains a criminal element.

Kombes Pol Artanto emphasized that investigators would not provide partial information so that the investigation would remain objective and supported by the scientific investigation method.

The Central Java Regional Police Bidpropam officially handed down a special placement for 20 days until December 8, 2025 to AKBP B. In addition to ethical violations, investigators also continue to explore other possible elements of violation based on additional evidence, especially because it is known that AKBP B has a legitimate family.
