The West Kotawaringin District Attorney's Office, Central Kalimantan, has named two suspects in the alleged corruption case in the construction of a fish flour factory in Sungai Kapitan Village, Kumai District.
"Two suspects, namely MR, are the Director of PT Cipta Raya Kalimantan and DP is the Director of PT Mega Surya," said Head of the West Kotawaringin District Attorney's Office (Kobar) Nurwinardi at Pangkalan Bun, Wednesday, November 19.
He said the determination of the two suspects was after investigators conducted further investigations and found two sufficient pieces of evidence.
"In this case, the suspect with the initials MR acted as the executor of the activity, while the suspect DP was the planner and project supervisor," he said.
Nurwinardi explained that MR and DP were part of four suspects in the corruption case of the construction of a fish flour factory using the 2016 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) of IDR 5.4 billion.
For the other two suspects, namely the hospital which is the former Head of the 2016 Kobar Regency Fisheries and Resilience Service and is currently serving a sentence for the previous case, while HK is a Commitment Making Officer (PPK) who has not yet been detained.
"In the development process, there were discrepancies and from the results of the investigation, irregularities were found which resulted in the project not running properly, causing state losses of Rp. 2.8 billion," he explained.
He added that the project is a program of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) which was carried out through the Kobar Regency Fisheries Service in 2016.
In the investigation process, the Kobar Kejari has examined 37 witnesses and five experts whose statements confirm allegations of irregularities in the project.
