Jakarta Is Raining This Afternoon, 3 Roads In South Jakarta Are Inundated Up To 50 Centimeters

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that three roads were inundated up to 50 centimeters due to rain in the DKI Jakarta area this afternoon.

"The latest information on inundation is until 14.00 WIB, BPBD noted that currently inundation occurs on 3 roads," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Pusdatin M. Yohan in his statement, Tuesday, November 18.

In detail, the roads are inundated on Jalan Srengseng Raya, Srengseng Village; Jalan Pondok Karya, Pela ampang Village, and Jalan Kemang Utara IX, Duren Tiga Village.

"The water level is between 10 and 50 centimeters. The cause is high rainfall and overflowing Mampang River," said Yohan.

Currently, BPBD DKI Jakarta is deploying personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that water lines function properly together with local lurah and sub-district heads and prepare basic needs for survivors.

"The inundation is targeted to recede in a short time. BPBD DKI urges the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation," he said.

Previously, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted that all areas of DKI Jakarta would experience rain on Tuesday, November 18 at noon.

Based on the official BMKG website at the @infobmkg in Jakarta, Tuesday, moderate rain is expected to occur during the day in West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta. Meanwhile, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands were showered with light intensity.

The rain is expected to continue until Tuesday afternoon, rain with moderate intensity in South Jakarta, West Jakarta, East Jakarta. Meanwhile, light rain is predicted to occur in North Jakarta, Central Jakarta and the Thousand Islands.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday night, the rain continued in East Jakarta and North Jakarta. Then in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are predicted to be shrouded in thick clouds at night.
