JAKARTA - Pakistan's Ambassador to Indonesia Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri stated that his country's readiness to supply milk and poultry needs to support the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.

Zahid, after a one-on-one meeting with President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, said the MBG program was a visionary step that not only improved student health but also had a significant economic impact on Indonesia.

"This is a very visionary and brave initiative. The impact will be broad, not only on the health of Indonesian students, but also on the Indonesian economy," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 17.

According to him, the MBG program will create a healthier generation and help open up more jobs.

Zahid said Pakistan was ready to strengthen cooperation with Indonesia in supporting the needs of the food sector for the program, especially in the field of milk production and agriculture.

"We can work together in the field of animal milk production, the dairy sector, the poultry sector, and other agricultural sectors. Wherever we can help Indonesia in this initiative, we will be very happy to do it," he said.

He said Pakistan views the MBG program as a major breakthrough that is in line with the efforts of the two countries to strengthen food security and improve people's welfare.
