Head of the Indonesian Navy Information Service, First Admiral Tunggul, said that the soldiers of the candidate for KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 crew will depart for Italy at the end of November to learn how to operate the new warship.

"For the soldiers of the Indonesian Navy, the prospective comedian for KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 will depart in the third week of November to Italy," Tunggul told ANTARA in Jakarta, Wednesday.

Tunggul said the Indonesian Navy soldiers were sent to Italy because KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 was the same as KRI Brawijaya-320 made by a shipyard from Italy, namely Fincantieri.

Before leaving for Italy, as many as 160 candidates for the crew of the KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 had undergone special training or the Ship Collection Preparation Unit (KPPK) at Fleet II Command, Surabaya.

"KPPK has been implemented from October 13 to November 7, 2025 at the Koarmada II Training Command, Surabaya," said Tunggul.

During the KPPK process, the soldiers underwent special training to maintain cohesiveness, strengthen knowledge about ship technicalities to combat capabilities while manning ships.

With these various trainings, the soldiers were ready in terms of mental, physical and knowledge to mand the KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321.

Tunggul added that the soldiers will bring KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 to Indonesia in early 2026.

Previously, in September 2025, the Indonesian Navy had arrived KRI Brawijaya-320. The frigate ship has similarities with KRI Prabu Siliwangi-311 which is planned to arrive next year.

Later, KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 will be placed in the ranks of Koarmada II together with KRI Brawijaya-320.
