JAKARTA - Authorities in South Korea fear five people are still trapped after the collapse of a large building at a power plant in the city of Ulsan. Four other people have been evacuated from the rubble.

Footage from the scene showed a large steel building destroyed and collapsed in a southeastern city surrounded by similar buildings.

As reported by Reuters on Thursday, November 6, a firefighter, Kim Jung-shik, told reporters workers were in the process of dismantling parts of the building, a heating facility that had been deactivated, to prepare for demolition in about 10 days when the accident occurred.

Two people were rescued immediately, then two others were pulled from the rubble, Kim said. Rescue operations are still ongoing.
