KPK Summons OKU Regent Teddy Meilwansyah Today Regarding Allegations Of Procurement Corruption

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned 13 witnesses regarding the alleged corruption in the procurement of goods and services within the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office of Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. One of them is Teddy Meilwansyah who serves as the Regent of OKU.

"The investigation was carried out at the South Sumatra Regional Police Office," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, October 29.

Apart from Teddy, the seven other people being questioned were Gunawan as a private employee; Sahril Elmi alias Alex and Robi Vitergo as members of the OKU Regency DPRD for the period 2024-2029; Andri Frandustie as a civil servant at the Housing, Settlement, Land and Cipta Karya Office of Central Lampung Regency/Fungsional Building Development in the Regional Building and Infrastructure Sector; Supriyanto as the General Staff for Water Resources at the PUPR Office of OKU Regency; as well as Suryandie and Eryleo Ridho alias Edo as entrepreneurs.

Then, investigators also examined five other people at the Class 1 detention center in Palembang. Requests for information were made there because they were defendants in this case.

Those examined were Nopriansyah as the former Head of PUPR OKU; M. Fahrudin and Ferlan Juliansyah as former members of the OKU Regency DPRD; and Ahmad Sugeng Santoso and M. Fauzi alias Pablo who are private parties. All of them were examined in their capacity as witnesses.

"The KPK has scheduled witness examinations related to alleged corruption in the procurement of goods and services within the PUPR Office of OKU Regency, South Sumatra for the 2024-2025 fiscal year," Budi explained.

The KPK previously developed allegations of corruption in the Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency Government. Four people are suspects in this case, namely Parwanto, Deputy Chairman of the OKU DPRD from the Gerindra Party; Robi Vitergo, a member of the OKU DPRD from PKB; Ahmad Thoha alias Anang as private; and Myndra SB as private.

As a reminder, the KPK has already named six suspects in connection with the bribery fee for the OKU Regency DPRD pokir project. They are Nopriansyah as the Head of the PUPR Office of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU); Member of Commission III of the OKU DPRD Ferlan Juliansyah (FJ), Chairman of Commission III of the OKU DPRD M Fahrudin (MFR) as a Member of the OKU DPRD of South Sumatra; and Chairman of Commission II of the OKU DPRD Umi Hartati (UH).

Meanwhile, the suspects from the private sector are MFZ (M Fauzi alias Pablo) and ASS (Ahmad Sugeng Santoso). This determination began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) in March 2025.
