The North Jakarta Metro Police Sat Reskrimsus Food Task Force Team conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) on the prices of basic commodities at Sunter Podomoro Market, Sunter Agung Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta, Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
Inspections to ensure that food prices in the market remain stable and in accordance with the provisions of the highest retail price (HET) nationally.
However, during the inspection, officers found one trader who raised the price of rice above national price provisions.
The food task force then gave an appeal and warning for traders to adjust prices according to HET. The Head of Crime Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Dolly Septian, confirmed the findings.
"Food prices must be in accordance with government regulations so that people are not burdened," Iptu Dolly told reporters, Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

"We ensure that no traders raise prices unilaterally," he said.
The food task force team also checked rice prices from premium types to SPHP, as well as monitored the availability of other staples.
