BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency Government, West Java, has brought order to 515 illegal buildings that stand along the Sukatani Securder Channel (SS)banks covering Ciwekabang River, Ulu Atas River and Puri Water Gate River, Nirwana Residence, North Cikarang District.

He stated that the control refers to the Bekasi Regent's order number 800.1.11.1/8726/Satpol.PP/2025 dated October 16, 2025, regarding the implementation of the task of controlling illegal buildings on riverbanks.
He explained that the control activities were carried out in a planned manner and had gone through a long procedure, ranging from data collection to giving warnings to residents who built buildings without permission on state land.
This control activity includes three villages in the North Cikarang District, namely Karakasih, Karangraharja and Waluya Villages with a total of 515 illegal buildings that have been previously recorded.

The Bekasi Regency Satpol PP in this activity deployed 400 joint personnel from various elements such as the TNI/Polri, the Environment Service, the Transportation Service, Perum Jasa Tirta as well as sub-district and village officials to ensure activities run smoothly and safely.
In addition to ensuring that the control runs in an orderly and smooth manner, the local government has also prepared further steps for the arrangement of the area. The future plan includes river normalization and widening of roads on riverbank areas.
"This is based on proposals from the village and sub-district governments, in the future it will be continued with construction, both normalization and widening of roads," he said.
