TANGERANG - South Tangerang Police confirmed that the explosion that occurred at the Nucleus Farma Building, Jalan Jombang Raya Number 18 B, Pondok Pucung Village, Pondok Aren District, on Wednesday night, was not caused by a bomb.

"After an examination and sterilization was carried out by the Jibom Gegana Brimob team of the Polda Metro Jaya, there were no bombs or explosives residues found at the scene," said South Tangerang Police Chief, AKBP Victor Inkiriwang in Tangerang, Antara, Thursday, October 9.

Based on the results of the investigation and sweeping at the scene, no objects or elements were found that led to the explosion caused by the explosives.

"Alhamdulillah, there were no bombs or explosives residues found at the crime scene," he said.

However, the team of Jibom Gegana Brimob Polda Metro Jaya together with experts from the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit are still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion that destroyed part of the pharmaceutical building.

"We will conduct further investigations with experts from the National Police's Criminal Investigation Center," said Victor.

He added that there were no casualties or injuries in the incident because when the explosion occurred, the building was empty without employee activities.

The police have examined nine witnesses for questioning regarding the incident.

"The front of the building was damaged on the half floor and part side," Victor said.
