Vinales Withdraws From MotoGP Indonesia Due To Shoulder Injuries

MANDALIKA - Red Bull KTM Tech3 Racer Maverick Vinales decided to withdraw from MotoGP Indonesia because his shoulder injury was getting worse and did not allow him to continue racing.

Previously, Vinales had attended the Indonesian MotoGP qualifying session at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Saturday, but his name is no longer listed on the starting grid for the sprint race.

"Maverick Vinales will withdraw from the Indonesian Grand Prix. It has been decided with the team that Maverick will focus on recovering his left shoulder injury," read a statement by Red Bull KTM Tech3 on social media, Saturday.

Vinales has suffered a left shoulder injury since the accident incident at the German GP, which has not received further treatment.

The racer nicknamed Top Gun has had his first season with KTM with less impressive performance since suffering an injury in Sachenring.

As a result, the injury has also kept Vinales out of a number of races. And now, the Spaniard is confirmed to miss the race in Mandalika to focus on fully recovery.
