Businessman Considers Price Of Gotong Royong Vaccine Rp321.660 Per Dose Is Ideal

JAKARTA - Employers consider the pricing of Sinopharm vaccine for gotong royong vaccination program is ideal even though it has previously proposed that the price is in accordance with their capability.

The official pricing for Sinopharm vaccine is stated in Decree of the Minister of Health (Kepmenkes) Number HK.01.07/MENKES/4643/2021 concerning Determination of The Purchase Price of Sinopharm Production Vaccine through the Appointment of PT Bio Farma (Persero) in the Implementation of COVID-19 Vaccine Procurement and Maximum Service Tariff for the Implementation of Gotong Royong Vaccine.

In the Kepmenkes, the purchase price of vaccines is Rp321,660 per dose and the maximum rate of vaccination services is Rp117,910 per dose.

"The price is Rp321,660 per dose and the cost of injection is Rp117,910 per dose, for two injections the total will be Rp879,140 per person is in accordance with the expectations of entrepreneurs," said Chairman of the DPD Association of Indonesian Indigenous Entrepreneurs (Hippi) DKI Jakarta Sarman Simanjorang as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 18.

Sarman revealed, previously the business world has also proposed that the price of independent vaccines can be adjusted to the ability of entrepreneurs in the range of Rp250 thousand-Rp500 thousand.

Although the price set by the government is higher, according to Sarman, the amount is still within the reach of the business world.

"Indeed we have proposed that the cost should not be too expensive to be affordable and in accordance with the purchasing power/capability of the business world in the range of Rp250 thousand-Rp500 thousand. With the price set by the government, in our opinion, are ideal," he said.

Sarman said that employers can save more if they have clinic facilities with a certain standard so there is no need to spend injection costs.

"That needs to be arranged then technical distribution and order because the arrival of vaccines is still limited and gradual. On the other hand, the number of bookers has reached 17 thousand entrepreneurs with a workforce of 8 million people," he said.

The Deputy Chairman of the Board of Consideration of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) DKI Jakarta also stressed that it is necessary to immediately establish business sectors that become a priority and strategic scale such as labor-intensive, energy, food and beverage industries and other public services.

Similarly, companies located in the red zones of the spread of COVID-19 need to be a priority vaccination program, including industry in Jakarta.

"We hope that the vaccination will go smoothly to accelerate the national economic recovery and mutual safety," he said.
