The 'Hatu' Submarine Made In Indonesia Appears First In The TNI Anniversary

The Indonesian Navy exhibited a new main weapon system (alutsista) in the form of unmanned submarines or submarine autonomouss during a clean rehearsal celebrating the TNI's 80th Anniversary at the National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta, today.

The autonomous submarine with the identity of KSOT-008 and the PT PAL logo appeared with the ranks of the TNI's defense equipment during the defile on the Monas page.

Head of the TNI Information Center Major General TNI (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah said the unmanned submarine was one of the new defense equipment exhibited in the defile.

"There are some who are already in our midst, present in our midst, there is an autonomous submarine," Freddy said as quoted by Antara.

He added that the TNI actually also has other new defense equipment such as T-50i aircraft from South Korea and KRImission-622.

However, the T-50i plane will only arrive in November 2025, while the KRIwi-622 has been inaugurated by the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali some time ago so it cannot be displayed in a rehearsal.

Freddy believes that the presence of unmanned submarines and hundreds of other defense equipment will continue to enliven the TNI's 80th Anniversary on Sunday (5/10).

Dalam perayaan tersebut, TNI akan memamerkan sekitar 1.047 alutsista darat, laut, dan udara. Selain itu, sebanyak 133.480 personel yang terdiri atas prajurit dan masyarakat sipil akan dilibatkan untuk berbagai kegiatan, mulai dari upacara, simulasi tempur, pasukan penerjun, pilot tempur, defile, hingga pasukan pengamanan.

In the celebration, the TNI will showcase around 1,047 land, sea and air defense equipment. In addition, as many as 133,480 personnel consisting of soldiers and civil society will be involved in various activities, ranging from ceremonies, combat simulations, parading troops, combat pilots, defile, to security forces.
