PRAYA Central Lombok Regency Government, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has alerted two garbage trucks to support the handling of waste at the Indonesian MotoGP event at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, October 3-5, 2025.
"Today or for three days, two garbage trucks have been alerted for handling waste in Mandalika," said Head of the Central Lombok Environment Agency (DLH) Lalu Sarkin in Praya, Antara, Friday, October 3.
In addition to the transport fleet, as many as 20 cleaning staff were also deployed to assist in handling waste, both ahead of the race and after the competition.
"We sent 20 officers," he said.
According to Sarkin, the handling of waste for the Mandalika MotoGP event has actually been handled directly by the organizers, namely the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA).
The presence of DLH aims to strengthen efforts to maintain cleanliness in the circuit area.
The waste collected, he said, was not immediately thrown into the final disposal site (TPA), but first sorted. Only garbage that has no economic value or cannot be recycled which is then brought to the TPA.
"This MotoGP waste is sorted first, then thrown into the TPA," he said.
DLH also prepares trash cans at various points, both in the circuit, spectator stands, and the MSME area. Sarkin appealed to visitors and tourists to orderly dispose of waste in the places provided.
"Let's keep this area clean to support the progress of sustainable green tourism in Mandalika," he said.
